UKULELE GRADE 8

What’s Involved?
Up To 100 Marks For
 You are required to play FOUR pieces – two pieces are required to be played from memory each one attracts 30 marks, the other two pieces attract 20 marks each

You can elect to play:

  • all three pieces from those listed within our syllabus
  • OR you can opt for four pieces of your own choice (*please find guidance in ‘Own Choice’ Zone)
  • OR you can mix repertoire featuring in our syllabus list combined with pieces of your own choice (*again please visit ‘Own Choice’ Zone for guidance)
Playing Skills Guide For This Grade
 TECHNIQUE
Finger picking / legato broken chords / vibrato, bends, slides / hammer-ons and pull-offs

IN ADDITION
Syncopation / articulation / dynamics and expressions / contrasts in tempo and styles / separations and melody from harmony / intros, fills-ins and outros
