RHYTHM Play a rhythm accompaniment to: GREENSLEEVES. Book A (Hal Leonard Ukulele Method Book 2) and THE IRISH WASHERWOMAN (Hal Leonard Ukulele Method Book 2) (* candidates opting for the rhythm option are welcome to perform this with a second player providing the lead/melody line or if preferred they can use a pre-recording of the lead/melody line. However a rhythm accompaniment may be performed independently of a melody/lead line in which instance a copy of the performed rhythm(s) must be written out using a single note and standard notation for the examiner) |

MUSICAL KNOWLEDGE The candidate will be asked by the examiner to explain five of the following terms, signs and symbols: 6/8 time, the construction of major and minor triads, suspensions, anacrusis, modulation, triplets |
Up To 5 Marks For |
TUNING Tune a Ukulele by ear on which two strings will need adjustment, a reference G will be given. Candidates will be permitted a maximum of 2 minutes to complete this task |

RANGE 11 notes / fret 10 IN ADDITION Introduction of six-eight time / dotted quaver and semiquaver timing / key of A major / triplets / use of open G string / Alla Breve / four note chords |
