PDF| To play and sing two songs of your own choice (please find guidance in ‘Own Choice’ Zone) each one lasting approximately 2 ½ minutes. (Each song attracts a maximum of 50 marks)Both songs (must be available as published copy) should be in a different key, style and tempo, cover a vocal range of not less than seven notes.The accompaniment played by the candidate should include an opening chord or pitching note. The use of an instrumental intro is optional at Silver Level. Each song must use a minimum of five chords (candidates are free and encouraged to add additional/altered harmonies). At least one song should include a modulation.The candidate will be required to name the key (including modulation) and state the vocal range of each song before performing.
Copies of both songs must be provided for the examiner’s use (please see Exam Protocol located in Info Zone, General Rules and Info). A minimum of lyrics plus chords will be accepted. Play and Sing Skills
