- It is not necessary for the candidate to be the vocalist
- Each song should be in a different key, style and tempo
- Candidates must cover the minimum vocal range stipulated within each syllabus
- The responsibility to provide playback equipment and instruments is the candidate (except a piano, which will be available)
- The duration of each song should be as close as possible to the suggested length on each syllabus
- Transcriptions, rough works, chord progressions, lyrics etc. should be provided in duplication for the examiners use
