Left hand – Range of four notes C-G.  Intervals

Also – Semibreves, dotted minims, minims and crotchets.  Tied notes.  Syncopation.  Melody played in left hand.  Three notes played together.  Balance between hands

Right hand – Range of five notes C-G.  Quavers.
Left hand – Range of five notes C-F

Also – Three and Four Four time.  Anacrusis.  Accidentals.  Rests.  Keys of C, F, and G major.  Tied notes.  New note B flat and F sharp.

Right hand – Range of one octave
Left hand – Range of one octave.  Melody in left hand

Also – Hands in unison.  Introduction of fermata.  Balance between hands.  Key signatures of G and F major

Left hand – Broken chords.  Descending chromatic bass line.  Easy Bossa Nova bass line

Also – Six Eight time. Dotted crotchet, crotchet, minim and quaver rests.  Use of two bass and treble clefs.    Key changes within a piece.  Dotted crotchet/quaver timing between beats 2 and 3.  Use of sustain pedal.    Ledger lines.

Right hand – Three note chords.  Dotted quaver – semiquaver timing.
Left hand – Bossa Nova bass line (dotted crotchet/quaver).  Broken chords.
Timing – Triplets in crotchets.  Change of time signature within a piece.

Also – Fermata/pause.  Intro/outro.  Anacrusis.  Repeats.  Swing feel.

Left hand – Octaves.  Double Bossa Nova bass.  Walking bass.  Broken chords.

Also – Hands in unison.  Swing feel.  Triplets.  Use of sustain pedal.  Tempo changes within a piece.  Dotted quaver and semiquaver rests.

Right hand – Ornaments. Separation of melody line from harmony
Left hand – Bossa Nova bass line in both chords and octaves

Also – Three changes of key within a piece. Triplets in crotchets. D.S. al Coda. Use of sustain pedal in all pieces. March style & Swing styles. Change of time signature within a piece
