    In 1998 I found Nationwide Music Exams and needless to say, I have been very pleased with NME and look forward to many more years with them.  I would like to point out that the scheme of marking is very good.  It doesn’t matter who comes to examine, the marking is very similar each time.

    I am pleased to endorse Nationwide Music Examinations, and it is the only examination board I use.  The opportunity for candidates to select some of their own performance pieces when taking grades provides a huge incentive; particularly for those interested in contemporary music rather than the established classics.  This applies particularly to teenagers and younger players, who appreciate learning to play songs they know and can identify with, rather than having to perform exercises 'in the style of ...' which they find altogether less meaningful.

    I have used Nationwide Music Exams for many years and have found them to be sympathetic to the needs of students, while maintaining their critical objectivity. This makes their exam experience a positive one.  The students also enjoy the more modern material the syllabus contains, from musical theatre to popular songs.

    I regularly use Nationwide Music Exams for those pupils who enjoy performing contemporary pieces. Many of my pupils enjoy choosing their own pieces to perform, which is easily done using the criteria set for each grade. I have always found the staff at NME to be really helpful and pupils often comment that the examiner made them feel at ease.

    I have used three different colleges and I do find with Nationwide it is more pleasurable and relaxing; nice choice of music. Also very nice that students may choose a piece they like.
