KEYBOARD GRADE 8	What’s Involved?
Up To 100 Marks For	You are required to play FOUR pieces. Two pieces are required to be play from memory (each of these attracts 30 marks); the remaining two pieces are eligible for 20 marks each You can elect to play: all four pieces from those listed within our syllabus OR you can opt for one pieces of your own choice and three from those listed (* please visit ‘Own Choice’ Zone for guidance)
Use Of Keyboard	You need to use five of the listed functions/features of your keyboard Use of full keyboard mode Use of the transposer Split keyboard mode Use of fade for ending Incorporating pre-recorded parts Creating custom styles The use of digital effects
Playing Skills Guide For This Grade	RIGHT HAND Technique / timing / ornaments / tremolo. LEFT HAND Chord changes IN ADDITION Repeats/ articulation and dynamics / registration changes between the main theme and improvisation
